Fans have chosen Ariana Grande's “Eternal Sunshine” as their favorite new music of the week

Music fans voted in a poll published on Friday (March 8). Advertising signpicking the pop star's latest album as their favorite new music release of the past week.

Fans showed strong support for Grande's seventh studio album, which won the poll by a wide margin, garnering more than 86% of the vote. Poll voters have been selected Eternal sunshine over new music releases from Jack Antonoff's Bleachers, Norah Jones and more.

Grande's 13 song Eternal sunshine features the Billboard Hot 100-top “Yes, And?” and “We Can't Be Friends (Wait for Your Love), the latter of which the singer performed as a musical guest on SNL Saturday night (March 9). He also sang “Imperfect for You” live. SNL.

Grande's introspective new studio album — her first since the chart-topper Seatswhich spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart in 2020 — delves into relationships and personal growth.

In the midst of her exciting release weekend, Grande took a moment to tell fans to refrain from attacking anyone in her life based on what they think her new songs are about.

“I just wanted to say that anyone sending hateful messages to the people in my life based on your interpretation of this album is not supporting me and is doing absolutely the opposite of what I would encourage (and also completely misinterpreting the intent behind the music)… you I ask that you do not. it's not like you support me. it's the opposite,” she wrote in an Instagram Story posted on Saturday afternoon (March 9).

“While this album captures many painful moments, it's also woven with a through-line of deep, honest love,” Grande said. “If you can't hear it, please listen more closely.”

On its first day of release, Eternal sunshine set a record as the most streamed album in a single day in 2024 so far.

Following behind Eternal sunshine in this week's poll are Bleachers' new album, with 3.44% of the vote, and Norah Jones' new album, with 1.72% of the vote.
