Grupo Frontera's latest single 'Ángel' featuring Romeo Santos tops this week's new Latin music poll.
In a poll published Friday (July 26) — in support of the weekly New Music Latin compilation and playlist, curated by Advertising sign Latin and Billboard Español editors — music fans voted for the Texas-based band and the Dominican artist's first collaborative effort as their favorite music release of the week.
“Ángel” garnered over 42% of the vote, beating out other new releases that dropped that week, such as Omar Courtz and Anuel AA's “Serio Con Ese Q” and Ozuna's Piso 21 and “Fichaje del Año” .
In second place as fan favorite was Fuerza Regida's new album, Pero No Te Enamoresboasting more than 21% of the vote.
Co-produced by Santos, Edgar Barrera and Casta, and written by the three in addition to Keityn, the winning track is a sweet bachata that also incorporates Frontera's signature Norteño accordion for this innovative bachata-regional mashup. “Nobody like you/ You came to give me love/ Just what I deserved/ Somebody like you/ Crazy like you / We gotta ask God/ If he threw an angel from above,” the romantic chorus sings.
Last week, music lovers voted for Lasso and Sofía Reyes' catchy cumbia tune 'Siempre Llegas Tarde', garnering more than 48% of the votes. Check out the final results of this week's new Latin Music poll, and check out Frontera and Santos' latest track below.
