Kim Loaiza & Codiciado's “QuesoXTE” tops this week's new Latin music poll.
In a poll posted Friday (Aug. 9) — in support of the weekly New Music Latin compilation and playlist, curated by Bulletin board Latin and Billboard Español editors — music fans voted the Mexican artists' first collaborative effort as their favorite music release of the week.
“QuesoXTE” garnered over 68% of the vote, beating out other new releases that dropped that week, including J Balvin's sixth studio album, Rayo; Nicky Jam's tropical jam “Insomnio?” DannyLux's “Soltera”? “Adito” by Kali Uchis, by her Orchids Part 2 deluxe album; and “Antes de los 30 (En Sueño Desde Madrid)” by Morat. among others.
In second place came Tiago PZK's fiery experiment with Brazilian funk music, where he played Brazilian superstar Anitta and Argentinian pop Emilia for “Alegría”.
In their first collaboration, Mexican pop star Loaiza and Música Mexicana artist Codiciado deliver a provocative track called 'QuesoXTE', a clever twist on 'Que Soporte'. Combining guitars and brass instruments, the pair sing lyrics about fleeting success and handling haters.
“I'm clear that envy is a disease/ And I really hope you get better,” Loisa sings. On the track, Codiciado's seasoned voice along with Loaiza's sassy smile forge a dynamic interplay, creating an anthem that celebrates overcoming adversity and seizing the moment.
Last week, music fans crowned Camila's comeback album I regressed as the winner by getting more than 80% of the votes. Check out the final results of this week's new Latin Music poll below.
