Afrobeats' Nigerian rapper-singer-songwriter Rema earns his first No.1 on Advertising signLatin Airplay chart featuring Feid's collaboration “Bubalu,” which climbs from No. 2 to lead the list dated Jan. 13. The single is also Rema's first chart appearance.
The Spanish “Bubalu”, in which Rema also sings in Spanish for the first time, is the fourth single from Feid's Mor No Le Temas a La Oscuridad, which peaked at No. 4 on Top Latin Albums in October. The song also became Rema's first entry into the a Advertising sign Latin chart when it debuted at No. 39 also in October on the multimetric Hot Latin Songs chart, later peaking at No. 28 (chart dated January 6).
The Afrobeats-infused “Bubalu” leads the overall Latin Airplay chart with a 14% increase in audience impressions to 10.8 million earned in the U.S. from Dec. 29-Jan. 4 week follow-up, according to Luminate.
