After a series of cryptic announcements and delays, the upcoming collaborative album between Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign, VULTURES, is expected to drop tomorrow. Ahead of the release, Fred has again… been confirmed as producer of a new album, according to his page onGenius.
In early November, videos from the Grammy-nominated producer's recent record-breaking tour in Los Angeles included performance footage of a new song, “Slide,” which he produced for VULTURES.
Since then, the album has had its fair share of controversy as scheduled performances and events suffered technical difficulties or were canceled entirely. The first was the case at the rappers' recent “Vultures Rave” listening party at Miami's Wynwood Marketplace, where most of the album's tracks were not played.
Billboard originally reported VULTURES was to fall on October 13, but delays occurred. Controversy is normal for West, who releases his first album since his explosive antisemitic comments last year.
