Fred again… made a splash in April 2023 with his intimate and bristling Tiny Desk concert, surprising fans with a surprisingly vulnerable performance.
The Grammy-nominated producer recently pressed the performance on vinyl and announced a limited run that ultimately sold out in a matter of seconds, he revealed shortly after. But he now plans to release a series of similar releases tied to various performances, starting with his masterstroke Tiny Desk, which he has dubbed IRL001.
Fred took to Instagram to share the news, likening the upcoming releases to “diary entries.” That intimate aesthetic has been crucial to his meteoric success.
“Also, this process has inspired me to look at other things we've done over the last few years and I want to start making more of these releases,” Fred wrote. “If albums are like diary entries, these are like additional additions of specific moments to the diary, and this is IRL001.”
