Fred's again. Actual Life 3 (January 1 – September 23, 2022) now has an actual Grammy, winning Best Dance/Electronic album at the premiere Grammy ceremony on Sunday (February 4) in Los Angeles.
The British producer actually quickly became a two-time Grammy winner, also picking up an award for Best Dance/Electronic Recording for his work on “Rumble” with Skrillex and Flowdan before winning for Best Dance/Electronic album. The producer is also nominated for Best New Artist, with this award presented during the live telecast.
Fred again… was not present to accept the award, with ceremony host Justin Trander accepting on his behalf.
Actual Life 3 (January 1 – September 23, 2022) beat some heavy hitters including James Blake Playing robots in spaceSkrillex's Search for Fire (in which Fred again.. has a number of credits), Kx5 by Kaskade and deadmau5 as produced by Kx5 and The Chemical Brothers For this beautiful feeling.
Released in November 2022, Real life 3 — which marked the producer's first entry on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums — arrived amid a massive streak for Fred and again…, with the artist playing massive sets earlier that year at Coachella before going on to headline the Madison Square Garden with Skrillex and Four Tet in February 2023, closing Coachella 2023 with the same two producers in April, playing headlining sets at festivals including Glastonbury and making a historic residency at the Shrine in Los Angeles last November.
Fred again… will headline Bonnaroo 2024 this June. The artist currently has two tracks — “leavemealone” featuring Baby Keem and “Ten” featuring Jozzy — on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs.
