A documentary about French Montana will make his debut Paramount Plus in November since it was a top festival.
THE life of rapper French Montana has received the documentary and will be available to the world on the Paramount Plus streaming service. The French Montana Story: For Khadija, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival last year. The scheduled broadcast date will be November 19 in the United States and Canada and November 20 in the United Kingdom and Australia. French Montana shared the news on his Instagram account on Wednesday (October 23).
The Story of French Montana will give an inside look at the diamond disc-selling rapper aka Karim Kharbouch. French Montana was born in Morocco but moved to the United States when he was 13 years old. His family settled in the South Bronx, but his father left the family to return to Morocco, while his mother stayed to raise him and his two siblings. The film chronicles his many trials as he became a tough battle rapper who rose to fame with his Cocaine City DVDs, which consisted of interviews with rappers and other street personalities to showcase his own music. This was the basis for the founding of the Coke Boys, highlighted by collaborations with Max B. He would go on to sign with Sean “Diddy” Combs' Bad Boy Records, Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group and Interscope Records.
The documentary is directed by Mandon Lovett and produced by Live Nation Productions for MTV Entertainment Studios. French Montana is an executive producer alongside Michael Rapino and Ryan Kroft for Live Nation Productions. Diddy was also an executive producer, but left due to his mounting legal troubles. “This is the best project I've ever worked on in my life,” Montana said of the film. “It's the first blueprint of an immigrant's musical dream, proving that anything is possible and it's not about the awards, it's about what we learn from loss and sacrifice.”
