This week in dance music: A slew of vintage (and signed!) vinyl trance classics are being auctioned off for charity, we spoke to Phoenix about their performance during the Paris 2024 Olympics closing ceremony, an electronic media show that streamed up for Kavinsky's 2010 classic “Nightcall.” Two-Headed's Matt McBriar revealed he's recovering from surgery for a non-cancerous brain tumor, the lineup was announced for Damian Lazarus' annual Day Zero party in Tulum, as well as the lineup for the four-day Art of the Wild happening this fall at the Wynn Las Vegas. Charli XCX has revealed that yet another Brat The remix will be out before Brat Summer becomes Brat Fall and we talked about the chart success of “Guess” with Billie Eilish.

The Blessed Madonna & Kylie Minogue, “Edge of Saturday Night”
Blessed Madonna is ramping up ahead of the release of her debut album, Godspeedwith his latest single, a singalong party anthem featuring the queen herself, Kylie Minogue. Having proven her ability to combine the world of pop and her dance realm Club Future Nostalgia Dua Lipa's megamix Future Nostalgiaartist Marea Stamper again demonstrates the seamless intersection between the two worlds with a piano-driven, shimmering synth-party anthem that keeps plenty of muscle on the bassline. An official video for the track, shot at Ibiza's classic club Pikes, is forthcoming, featuring Godspeed out October 11th via Warner Records.
Bonobo, “Xpander”
Who else but Mr. Bonobo could so deftly arrange backup beats, an ethereal a cappella and what sounds like a flute into a kinetic, hard electronic track that has long been a weapon in his sets. After playing it all summer, the English-born, Los Angeles-based producer has officially retired the fan favorite “Xpander” via Ninja Tune and is sure to play it at upcoming shows that include Outlier's shows at Red Rocks in Colorado in September and throughout Europe. in the fall and an event at Los Angeles' Boiler Room on September 21st.
Peggy Goo, “Find the Way”
Ahead of her biggest headlining show tomorrow (August 17th) in London, Peggy Gou has released a unique single, 'Find the Way'. Featuring her own vocals, the track greatly extends the cool, dreamy vibe of June's album, I hear youand particularly his hit single “It Goes Like (Nanana),” finally taking a slightly darker and subtly more psychedelic turn in its final third. “Find the Way” is released via Gou's own Gudu Records and comes ahead of her show tomorrow at London's Gunnersbury Park, which will also feature Mochakk, LSDXOXO, Sally C and Hiver.
What So Not & Habstrakt feat. Maiah Manser “Realize”
The Aussie producer releases in full Movements EP today, adding two more tracks to the project's already released and truly excellent two singles 'Lights Go Out' and 'Slow Motion'. Produced alongside French artist Habstrakt and featuring vocals from Los Angeles-based singer Maiah Manser, “Realise” folds elements of garage and progressive house into a bright, cerebral anthem for hours to come. The EP follows What So Not's Dance Dance Revival tour, which hit 11 venues across Australia to showcase up-and-coming Australian artists who have struggled to make it through pandemic shutdowns, inflation and fewer opportunities given how far country it is from so many other places, by running ending with a sweet, rough finish. Radio Slave, “The Lunatics” (Solomun Edit)
Mr. Solomun puts his unmistakable touch on Radio Slaves' “The Lunatics,” from the artist's May album, Venti. The Bosnian-German producer transforms the original into a gritty, '80s-influenced and darkly hypnotic anthem in the grand tradition of New Order, and just in time for those late summer sweats.
Duke Dumont feat. Clementine Douglas, “Ain't Giving Up”
The English producer is back in top form with “Ain't Giving Up”, which showcases his signature synth-forward house music, with the dynamic Clementine Douglas adding vocals to refuse to give up on someone you love. over the mesmerizing production. Dumont's upcoming shows include Las Vegas' Zouk this weekend, two nights at the Brooklyn Mirage later this month, and two massive sold out shows in London and Dublin this fall.
