From 'Wicked' to 'Moana 2', musicals are taking over the box office

There have been two very musical weekends at the box office, with the premiere of Wicked followed by moana 2. And on December 20, Mufasa: The Lion King It also hits theaters.

Why are all these major musical films converging at the same time?
