Opportunity Perdomoan actor who starred in Prime Video's The boys spinoff series Gen V, died over the weekend. Perdomo, who was Afro-Latino, also starred in a popular Netflix series.
Chance Perdomo was set to begin production on its second season Gen V and was traveling on a motorcycle to Canada when the accident happened on March 30 in upstate New York, according to a report from Deadline. The outlet added in an additional report that Perdomo was headed to Toronto ahead of a scheduled April 8 table reading session for the series.
Perdomo's family and representatives shared the following:
His passion for the arts and insatiable zest for life were felt by all who knew him and his warmth will live on in those he loved most. We ask that you respect the family's desire for privacy as they grieve the loss of their beloved son and brother.
Perdomo starred as Andre Anderson Gen V, set in the same universe as The Boys and featuring several superpowered young adults struggling with the weight of their powers. Perdomo also starred on Netflix Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
“We can't wrap our heads around it. To those of us who knew and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, wonderful person. Even writing about him in the past tense doesn't make sense. We are very sorry for Chance's family and mourn the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight,” a show producer shared in a statement.
Chance Perdomo was 27.
