Miranda Lambert's long-awaited ninth album, Postcard from Texasis officially released today (September 13).
The 14-song project marks the Grammy-winning artist's first release since signing to Republic Records earlier this year and was recorded at Austin's Arlyn Recording Studios.
Lambert teamed up with producer John Randall to create the album, which offers a glimpse into Lambert's introverted side with songs that explore themes of love, grief and resilience.
The album was previewed with 'Wranglers' and the cheeky 'Dammit, Randy', while latest single 'Alimony', co-written with Shane McAnally and Natalie Hemby, offers a dance-ready shuffle that showcases the Lambert's mix sass with soulful storytelling.
The album release isn't the only reason for the country star to celebrate. In just two weeks, Lambert will receive the prestigious Country Icon Award at the 2024 People's Choice Country Awards, scheduled for Thursday, September 26, at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.
Lambert has long been an awards magnet. She has won a record 35 Academy of Country Music Awards, 14 Country Music Association Awards (more than any other woman) and three Grammys.
There was also a significant force in the Bulletin board chart, with five No. 1 hits on Hot Country Songs, seven No. 1s on Country Airplay, seven No. 1 albums on Top Country Albums and one No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
