The Italian dance music virtuosos, who were included in EDM.com's 2021 promotion, are famous for their unique live performances, in which they sing, DJ and play a variety of instruments. With their hypnotic voices, tribal drums and rhythmic beats, they have performed in many stunning locations, such as Iceland's Fagradalsfjall volcano.

They say the instrument, which comes in black or white, is the byproduct of years of research and experimentation. It comes tuned in B minor, the same key in which Giolì & Assia write many of their songs.
The duo first became fascinated by the handpan six years ago, when they came across videos of street performers using the drum to create calm rhythms. Captivated by its sounds, they set out to harness its melodic capabilities in their live electronic act. The rest is history and now they hope to share the magic of the instrument with others.
