Former Girls frontman Christopher Owens is back with his first new song in seven years. “I think of Heaven” is a solo track about self-reliance and longing, with a nod to Psalm 42 tied into the lyrics as well. Next is 2017 Vante EP, which served as the first release from his project Curls. Listen to “I Think About Heaven” below.
Prior to the short-lived Curls run, Owens released a handful of solo records after Girls broke up in 2012, the most recent of which was the 2015 album. Chrissybaby Forever. It was his third solo collection after Girls, after 2013 Lysander and 2014 A New Testament.
As for Curls, things are pretty quiet on that front. The trio formed in late 2016 and haven't released anything since their debut EP, but continued to play together well into 2019.
