Glastonbury festival announces 2024 Emerging Talent Longlist Competition

Glastonbury festival has today announced the shortlist for its 2024 Emerging Talent Competition, supported by PRS for Music and the PRS Foundation. The 90 shortlisted acts were chosen by a judging panel of 30 music writers from across the UK, including Under the Radar's Dom Gourlay.
These acts will now be whittled down to a shortlist of just 8 acts who will compete in the live finals in April for a place on one of the main stages at this year's festival. Competition winners will also receive a PRS £5,000 Music Foundation Talent Development Award to help take their composition and performance to the next level. Two runners-up will also be awarded a £2,500 PRS for Music Foundation Talent Development award.
The 3 artists chosen by Under the Radar are as follows:
AUGER
Dramatic electronic oriented rock that is both anthemic and soothing in equal measure.
For fans of Depeche Mode, Editors, The Knife, Ultravox.
RENT OFFER
Dublin-based experimental outfit combining elements of shoegaze, grunge and post-rock.
For fans of Cocteau Twins, Newdad, Just Mustard, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine.
DAXX & ROXANE
Classic metal that harkens back to the days of the genre, while also bringing a 21st century vibe to the proceedings.
For fans of The Darkness, Judas Priest, The Cult, AC/DC, Europe.
