GloRilla captures her second top 10 chart effort Bulletin boardThe Top Selling Albums Chart (dated October 26) and her best-selling to date, as Glorious debuts at No. 6. The title reaches No. 6 with nearly 12,000 copies sold in the U.S. in the week ending Oct. 17, according to Luminate. The album was available in both standard and bonus track digital download versions, as well as a signed CD version.
GloRilla previously visited the top 10 with Anyway, life is great… in 2022, debuting and peaking at No. 6.
Glorious It additionally opens in the top 10 on several other charts: Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums (No. 2), Top Rap Albums (No. 2), Top Streaming Albums (No. 4) and Billboard 200 (No. 5) – all with her best scores on each chart.
Bulletin boardThe Top Albums Sales chart ranks the best-selling albums of the week based on traditional album sales only. The history of the chart dates back to May 25, 1991, the first week Bulletin board began charting electronically tracked track count information from SoundScan, now Luminate. Net album sales was the sole metric used by the Billboard 200 album chart through the list dated December 6, 2014, after which that chart changed to a methodology that combines album sales with track-equivalent album units and album-equivalent units flow.
Elsewhere on the top album sales chart, Jelly Roll notches its best sales week ever to debut at No.1, as Beautifully broken bows out at the top of the list with 114,000 sales. The album's first week sales were boosted by its availability on seven vinyl variants, three CD variants (the CDs sold a total of 65,000, including a signed edition sold through the artist's online store), a cassette and three download album variants (the downloads sold 32,000 ). Net proceeds from pre-orders of the CD and vinyl on his online store benefited four charities.
Charli XCX's Brat jumps 25-2 with 48,000 (up 1,281%) for its highest ranking and best sales week yet. The rise follows two deluxe reissues of the album released in the week ending October 17. All album versions are combined for tracking and charting purposes. For the deluxe reissues (trans Brat and it's totally different but still brat), the album's original tracklist was supersized on October 11 to add 16 remixes of the set's songs (featuring guests such as The 1975 and Ariana Grande, available on vinyl, CD, cassette and digital download). Then on October 14, the deluxe went plus, adding a remix of “Spring Breakers” featuring Kesha (available as a digital download purchase).
Chappell Roan's former No.1 The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess dips 2-3 (14,000, up 6%), Sabrina Carpenter's; Short n' Sweet is steady at No. 4 (14,000, up 6%), Coldplay's Music of the Moon falls 1-5 in second week (12,000, down 89%), charting Stray Kids ATE rises 8-7 (9,000, up 7%), by Billie Eilish Hit hard and soft jumps 12-8 (8,000, up 14%) and tops ENHYPEN's chart Romance: Unspeakable up 13-9 (7,000, up 10%).
Miles Kennedy completes the top 10 with his arrival The art of leavingbowing at No. 10 with nearly 7,000. It is the sixth top 10 for the artist.
