It looks like Gloss Up & Quality control music they may have parted ways. The Memphis rapper was recently interviewed Chaoticwhere she revealed that QC wouldn't let her release new music because they thought her sound had become repetitive.It's like people don't motivate me. The only thing I hear when I go to the studio is this isn't it, isn't it, isn't it? So it's okay, I just want to step back and let the king catch my breath because I don't know what everybody wants from me.” Someone in Gloss' inner circle must have leaked a screenshot of a close friend's Instagram post that he basically confirmed the rumors are true about him being a free agent, stating “Finally free! Finna pop it”.
If you remember, in his season 3 trailer Impact ATLshe was told that if she had been signed to another company, she probably would have already been rejected. Gloss first appeared when she, Slimeroni, Aleza and Hitkidd linked up for the September 2022 smash 'Shabooya'. In this crash, each rapper took a moment to rock their groove and promote themselves (with some fire adlibs, of course) while showing off their personality and humor. Everyone jokes about men getting tired and dumping them if they don't keep screwing up. This immediately struck a chord with every material girl out there who hears the track.
