The 2024 awards season kicked off on Sunday (January 7) with the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. The ceremony, produced by dick clark productions, was organized by comedian Jo Koy and not only Hollywood's brightest stars attended, but also numerous musicians who were nominated for their musical contribution to cinema.

Among them was Taylor Swift, who received a nod for Taylor Swift: The Eras tour in the category of cinematographic and box office achievements (lost to blockbuster Barbie) Selena Gomez, who was nominated for her portrayal of podcaster Mabel Mora on Hulu's Only murders in the building (The bearAyo Edebiri won). While the music stars didn't perform their nominated works at the ceremony, they hobnobbed with their fellow celebrities during the show, which aired on CBS and Paramount+.
