Drake leaves it all on stage when he performs on his current Big As the What? tour. In fact, he leaves most of it on stage, but when he goes back to his dressing room afterwards, he takes some with him.
The 6 God gave evidence of his hard work in a funny video posted on Thursday (March 21) in which he struggles to remove a soaked white T-shirt, then grimaces as he wrings it out as a river of sweat falls to the floor. The Instagram carousel — which also included images of Drake hanging with tour mate J. Cole, giving the high-five to a framed jersey belonging to fellow Torontonian and Charlotte Hornets point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and to perform “Knife Talk” with a teenage fan. — is captioned “BIG AS SUPER [bowl emoji]” in reference to Drizzy and Cole's track “First Person Shooter”.
Speaking of the power duo's Billboard Hot 100-topping track “FPS,” on Friday (March 22), fans got their ears on Kendrick Lamar for the song and Drizzy, on “Like That” from Future and Metro Boomin's WE DON'T TRUST YOU album. In the song, K-Dot takes direct aim at the couple, rapping “Yeah, get up with me, f–k sneak dissing/ 'First Person Shooter,' I hope they came with three switches.”
The aggressive lyric — seemingly in response to the “FPS” line, “Love when they argue the hardest MC/ Is it K-Dot? Is it Aubrey? Or me?/Us big three like we started a league — finds Lamar struggling with the suggestion that the trio live on the same level. “You think I won't leave the location? I still got PTSD/Motherf–k the Big 3, n—a, it’s just big me,” Lamar growls before taking direct aim at Drake with the lines, “Before all your dogs get buried, that’s a K with all that . nine, he'll see Pet Sematary“? Drake's most recent album was 2023 For all dogs.
The joint Drake/Cole tour will hit Sunrise, FL on Saturday (March 23), with the final show scheduled for April 16 at the Ball Arena in Denver.
