It's been a long, quiet year for GRiZ fans, but those attending Burning Man will find that his creative flame is far from extinguished.
Beloved for his funk-infused dubstep and high-energy live shows, GRiZ announced in June 2023 an indefinite hiatus from music, citing his desire to travel and spend more time with loved ones.
“Life is really good and I'm often too busy to see where I am and how far the project has come,” he said at the time. “I'm following my instincts, so for now, I'm not going to put a strict time limit on the break… I'm excited to take some time to travel, find new inspirations, write music, and be in a new state of mind.”
But the silence has been suddenly and dramatically broken with the news that GRiZ will be taking to the hallowed grounds of Burning Man's beloved Camp Questionmark this year. It's a big moment for the rainbow brain producer, who has remained out of the public eye since announcing his hiatus.
The poster was revealed this week via Camp Questionmark’s Instagram page in a post that was since deleted, but not before sleuths over at the official GRiZ subreddit grabbed a screenshot. According to the flyer, which you can see below, GRiZ is set to appear on Friday, August 30 as part of a lineup that also includes Diplo and Louis The Child. Other notable artists set to perform throughout the week include What So Not, Maddy O’Neal, Equanimous, and FLY.
Questionmark official camp website It now includes a countdown that is scheduled to end on the evening of Sunday, August 25.
