This week, of Billboard New Music Latin summary and playlist — curated Advertising sign Latin and Billboard Español editors — features fresh new albums from artists like Grupo Firme, Manuel Medrano, Carín León and Manu Chao, to name a few.
A handful of new albums dropped Friday (May 31), including León's Boca Chueca, Vol. 1Olga Tañón's Así Soy YoMau y Ricky's Caracas HotelGusi's Monte Adentro and Medrano Perfecto. Showcasing a wide range of genres, León delivers his most eclectic album to date. The first volume features collaborations with artists such as Pepe Aguilar and Panteón Rococó, as well as previously released collaborations with Kane Brown and Leon Bridges.
Meanwhile, Grupo Firme departs from party songs to deliver the ultra-melancholic ballad 'El Beneficio de la Duda'. Manu Chao Releases 'Viva Tu', First Single From Upcoming New album, His First Since 2007 La Radiolina. “'Viva' thrives on the stirring strums of a nylon guitar over a gentle rumba beat,” he wrote Billboard EspañolIsabella Raigoza. The collection also features Omar Montes, Lola Indigo and Las Chuches' live “El Pantalon – Rumbas”, just in time for summer.
Last week, music fans voted for Cris MJ's new song “Si No Es Contigo” as their favorite music release of that week. The track garnered 95% of the vote, beating out other releases that dropped that week, including Rauw Alejandro's “Touching the Sky,” off Nathy Peluso's new album GREASE“El 100” by Sofía Reyes and DannyLux and Trueno's El Último Baile series.
