This week, Billboard New Music Latin summary and playlist — curated Advertising sign Latin and Billboard Español editors — features fresh new music from artists like Grupo Frontera, Fuerza Regida, Elsa y Elmar, Monsieur Periné and more.
Mexican-American ensemble Grupo Frontera teamed up with Romeo Santos for “Ángel,” a sweet bachata track produced by Santos, Edgar Barrera and Casta. The bachata title track also incorporates Frontera's signature norteño accordion for this groundbreaking bachata-regional mashup.
Meanwhile, Elsa y Elmar released “Ké MaL,” the fourth single from her upcoming album PALACE. “When I was a little girl, my dad used to tell me something that his dad used to say and I never quite understood it,” the Colombian artist said of the pop song in a statement. “Until recently, and when I got it, I was writing this song. But this is not a love song or a breakup song. This is a “it is what it is” kind of song. Sometimes in life and love, things just don't line up and that's 'Ké MaL'.
Other new releases include Monsieur Periné's team-up with Bejuco for “Jardín del Paraíso” — in collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund for World Mangrove Ecosystem Conservation Day — and Piso 21 and Ozuna's first collaboration “Fichaje del Año”. In addition, Fuerza Regida released their long-awaited new album Pero No Te Enamores.
Last week, “Siempre Llegas Tarde” by Lasso and Sofía Reyes won the vote, garnering more than 48% of the votes. Who should win this week? Give these new releases a spin and vote for them below.
