Gucci Mane is back and throwing balls in Diddy's direction with his latest single trolling the Bad Boy mogul's catchphrase “TakeDat.”
Guwop delivered the buzzy track along with the Omar The Director-led video on Wednesday, which finds Gucci mouthing “No Diddy” 119 times throughout the song to be exact, as calculated by Complex.
“No Diddy” is a phrase that has gone viral on social media since the myriad allegations of sexual assault and misconduct have been leveled against Diddy, particularly by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones Jr., who accused Sean Combs of petting him. grooming and coercion into sexual acts.
“The CEO in the video but no Diddy/ 'Cause I ain't dancein' like ho, no Diddy/ I can't go out like Pac, no kizzi,” he raps while seemingly attaching a “No Diddy” to every bar. .
Gucci Mane also references Cassie's lawsuit against Diddy, in which she accused him of blowing up Kid Cudi's car out of jealousy over their brief fling.
“But blow up a car – a car like Kid Cudi's/ I'm on the yacht, taking shots, not Diddy,” Gucci blasts.
In December, Didi denied all the charges against him. “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH,” he wrote on social media. “For the past two weeks, I have sat in silence and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy. Heinous accusations have been made against me by people looking for a quick payout. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things they claim. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”
In the lavish clip, Gucci Mane and his wife Keyshia Ka'Oir recreate a champagne toast scene from The Notorious BIG's The “Big Poppa” video.which arrived in 1994 courtesy of Hype Williams (The “Big Poppa” visual starred Diddy with girlfriend Misa Hylton at the time).
Diddy isn't the only person Gucci hears from as he taps Drake, 50 Cent, 2Pac, Yung Miami, Biggie and more throughout “TakeDat.”
“Some wanna boss me, I ain't 50/ But touch an ass like Biggie, not Diddy,” Guwop rhymes. The jab didn't seem to faze 50 as he reposted the clip in an attempt to antagonize his nemesis Diddy even more.
“Oh s–t WOP TOOK DA HIT this Diddy POPPED This is what you get,” 50 wrote.
