Half Past Two have been around for almost two decades and yet they still feel like a breath of fresh air in the ska scene. In this episode of In defense of Ska, Lead vocalist Tara Hahn and guitarist Max Beckman talk about the band's history and their new album. Talking is killing me (available April 19). Listen above or wherever you get your podcasts.
Formed in August 2006, Half Past Two effectively emerged during the “dark ages” of ska. And yet, they persevered and helped build a sustainable scene in Orange County in the mid-2000s. Now, just under 20 years later, the band takes a look back at their journey and ultimately explains how they found a new home at Bad Time Records.
