Halsey says fiancé Avan Jogia was 'instrumental' in her 'healing' journey

Halsey shares how much her fiance Avan Jogia has helped her grow up.

In a new cover interview with Rolling Stone UK, the 'I' star opened up about meeting the actor in Europe. “I hadn't said anything about entertainers,” he joked. “I'll find someone and it'll either be the most beautiful pediatric nurse you've ever seen in your life or a guy who works in accounting, and then when I met Avan, I was like, 'F—. I'm confused.”

They continued, “I don't know where I would be without him. He was instrumental in my healing, my recovery, my self-esteem. Not only because I was sick, but I was still dealing with postpartum depression. I didn't know how to be a person apart from being a mom. I didn't feel very autonomous in my body. But it really made me want to try because I really liked it. It motivated me to work on myself at a time when I desperately needed it.”

Halsey and Jogia made their relationship work Official Instagram in late 2023, with the 'Closer' star sharing snaps with the actor showing off his shiny, leathery look. Later that month, they celebrate Halloween as a couple, with the singer going as a sea monster and the Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City star who dresses as a sailor. In April, Halsey and Jogia made their red carpet debut at the premiere of Dev Patel's Monkey man. Since then, they have had a few outings together, including red carpets and sporting events.

In September 2024, Halsey confirmed that they were engaged Victorious actor. Pop Base was posted a photo of Halsey with the actor-singer, writing that the star said she “hopes to marry her boyfriend Avan Jogia.” Then, upload a quote-tweet the post and corrected Jogia's title. “*** fiance Avan Jogia,” they wrote.

Before dating Jogia, Halsey split from her estranged husband Alev Aydin — with whom she has a young son named Ender — in April 2023. Jogia was previously linked to Australian actress Cleopatra Coleman.
