Hamdi saying The best thing is that 2024 will be a very good year for UK music.
The dubstep virtuoso has released a highly anticipated remix package for his hit single, “Counting.” Out now on Zeds Dead's Deadbeats, the package is packed with talented producers, all of whom delivered and did the track justice.
The Taiki Nulight remix had been one of the most coveted releases so far in 2024, especially after its appearance on Skrillex and Skin On Skin's recent one. FM Rinse place. Forgoing their typical British garage sound, Nulight produced a deep, wobbly dubstep stunner with thick bass.
Elsewhere, sizzling producer Sammy Virji impresses by slowing down “Counting” into a vibrant British garage tune while Simula flexes his formidable sound design to transform the song into a drum & bass heater. P Money's remix is reminiscent of his “Skanka” vocal dub, the UK grime artist overlaying Hamdi's original with notable production changes to accommodate his verses.
