Adam Sandler is working on a sequel to happy gilmoreaccording to Christopher McDonald, who played Shooter McGavin in the original film.
McDonald broke the news during a interview with Cleveland's 92.3 The Fan on Friday. “I saw Adam about two weeks ago and he said, 'McDonald, you're going to love this.' I said that?' He says, “How about that?” [and] shows me the first draft of Happy Gilmore 2.'”
“Maybe you should cut that (from this audio) because I don't want to be a liar, but he showed me that and I thought, 'Well, that would be amazing.' So, he is in process. The fans demand it, damn it.”
Sandler previously expressed interest in making a happy gilmore sequel in 2021. At the time, he raised the possibility of centering the film on a senior golf tournament, but cautioned that nothing had been written.
