For two days this summer, visitors to Germany's premier amusement park will have to hold on to their churros thanks to an innovative new music festival.
Scheduled for August 31 and September 1, Heide Park's inaugural festival is Europe's first music festival in a theme park, according to its organisers. Transforming the venue into a giant dance floor under the stars, it's a festival created for both the young and the young at heart.
Like the park's numerous roller coasters, the festival offers a thrilling free fall into a new experience at the intersection of live entertainment and music.
“We want to create an experience for our visitors that has never been seen before,” said David Davood, CEO of HighLight Production GmbH. “There are already many fantastic festivals in Germany, but none that combine two worlds like we do. A synergy of pure emotion and unforgettable moments of happiness for all ages. There is no better place for it than Heide Park Resort.”
Organizers expect approximately 50,000 visitors to Heide Park over the course of the festival, according to a press release shared by our friends at DJ Mag Germany. The best part? A pass grants unlimited access to its many attractions, including the giant “Colossi”, the tallest wooden roller coaster in Europe.
The debut of the Heide Park Festival features a huge line-up that reflects the euphoria of the venue's thrilling attractions. Hardwell, Don Diablo and The Chainsmokers are scheduled to headline, with additional performances from Felix Jaehn, Julian Jordan, Mike Williams, VIZE and singer-songwriter Zara Larsson, among others.
