We're still a few days away from the HBO Season 2 premiere House of the Dragonbut HBO seems confident enough in its upcoming show to renew it for another season before fans get a chance to see a single episode of its second season.
According The lipHBO has confirmed that they have decided to bring it back Game of Thrones prequel for at least one more season, as the first season proved to be a huge hit even as fans Game of Thrones expect the worst I TOOK last season match. With interest in the world of Westeros renewed with a fascinating story and interesting characters Dragon House, HBO smells another long-running hit series cooking in the kitchen and is taking steps to make sure it keeps its customers happy… for now.
Per The lip:
House of the Dragon premiered in 2022 and takes place 200 years before the original Game of Thrones series. It mainly focuses on House Targaryen and stars Matt Smith and Emma D'Arcy. The second season begins June 16 on both HBO and Max. It's also not the only Game of Thrones expansion in the works: HBO has another spinoff called A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: the Hedge Knight in the works, though it's unclear when it will begin airing.
That's all well and good, but we're still hopeful that the Jon Snow spinoff that was supposed to take place after the events of Game of Thrones canceled. Like WTF, dude?! We want answers!
I guess we'll have to make do with what we're given. Fortunately, for us, what House of the Dragon gave us it was quite tasty.
