Here's a timeline of Rita Ora and Taika Waititi's relationship

Rita Ora had fans buzzing when she posted a photo carousel on Instagram, in which she can be seen with Waititi's arms wrapped around her in one of the snaps. “Good times, memories, random stuff on my phone and what I love…❤️” she captioned the post, sparking romance rumours.

Ora and Waititi made headlines when they were photographed hugging theirs Thor: Love and Thunder Her co-star Tessa Thompson outside Waititi's home in Australia. In the snaps, the three are seen taking turns kissing. Later, in an interview with Sydney Morning HeraldWaititi responded by noting, “I didn't do anything wrong.”

He continued, “I think in the Internet world, everything goes by very quickly. And also, “is it such a big deal?” No it's not really. I didn't do anything wrong. It is OK.”

It didn't take long for the duo to make their relationship official on the red carpet as they walked and posed together The Suicide Squad premiere in Los Angeles.

The couple walked the carpet once again at the 2021 Met Gala, which was themed “Celebrating America: A Fashion Dictionary.”

To celebrate his love, Waititi shared a sweet series of photos in which he can be seen photographing and supporting Ora in the midst of all her accomplishments. “The boys of Instagram,” she captioned the post.

Ora appeared in Best night ever podcast, where she opened up to her friend and host about her relationship with Waititi, who she said is a “wonderful” person. “I always wanted the fairy tale, that's what I grew up loving,” he noted. “For me, it's always been about that love, finding a partner, so I'm really glad I did.”

Ora and Waititi co-hosted the 2022 MTV EMAs in Dusseldorf, Germany. Ora previously hosted the EMAs in 2017. “I'm thrilled to be back hosting and sharing the stage with Taika makes it even more special,” Ora said in a statement at the time. “We have it all at this year's EMAs, fun surprises, fantastic fashion, comedy and most of all amazing music!”

While fans had speculated for months that the couple had tied the knot after they were photographed wearing matching gold rings, Ora confirmed the news. “Yeah. I'm officially off the market, folks,” she said in an interview with UK's Heart Breakfast Radioper ET Canada. “I chose to keep it more private and keep it to myself… It was exactly, exactly what I wanted. It's nice to keep some things just for myself sometimes. It was nice and sweet. Sorry it's not that interesting. One day I'll throw a big party.”

Waititi took to Instagram to show off his elaborate “R” tattoo on Instagram, joking in the caption that the letter stood for “rugby” and not “Rita.”

“I love Rugby,” she playfully captioned it Position.

“[The wedding was planned] in two to three days when I was off cycle, which is what I call it when I'm not in album cycle mode,” he said. Glamor UK. “His kids were there and I really wanted them to be a part of it. Either it was then or we had to wait years.”

She continued, “I didn't want to do it without my stepchildren there. So we just figured it out and did it. And it was perfect. I wanted to keep it private because my life and my career are not.”

There were only about eight people in the room, total. The couple's parents joined via Zoom, they noted. “He proposed to me and I said yes right away,” she recalled Fashion.

Waititi turned 48 on August 16, Ora showered her husband with love in a to-die-for Instagram post. “Happy birthday to the funniest smartest man I've ever met in my life,” she wrote alongside one photo series of the filmmaker. “You keep me together in times when I don't think I can. Thank you for showing me what love really is. Here's to many more moments of me stealing your jokes and saying them 10 times louder so people think I'm the joker. I LOVE YOU.”
