Eric ChurchThe Nashville bar has officially responded Morgan Wallenarrest in the area.
The Chief's official Instagram account shared a photo on Tuesday (April 9) of a new sign outside the facility that reads: “Our pigs fly, our chairs don't.” See the post here.
The slogan apparently refers to the chart-topping country singer's arrest for allegedly throwing a chair off the six-story roof of the Broadway Street bar. Two Nashville Metro Police officers were reportedly standing down in the street when the chair landed just three feet away from them. They then reportedly spoke with bar staff and witnesses, as well as reviewed security footage to confirm Wallen's alleged action.
Advertising sign obtained a statement from Wallen's attorney, Worrick Robinson of Worrick Robinson Law, confirming the arrest earlier in the week. “At 10:53pm Sunday night Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He is fully cooperating with the authorities,” he said. The 30-year-old “Last Night” singer was later released from prison. Wallen has been charged with three counts of reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct.
The incident occurred just days after Wallen kicked off his 2024 One Night at a Time tour. The singer's next court appearance in the incident is May 3, and he is scheduled to perform at Nissan Stadium in Nashville on May 2 and 3.
