Hilary Duff just hit a bump in the road mid-pregnancy. Just days after announcing that she and Matthew Koma were expecting, the Lizzie McGuire The star has now shared that both she and her husband have contracted COVID-19.
“We have Covid and our kids don't, so now we're wearing masks again,” she wrote on her Instagram Story, sharing a video of her and Koma chilling in bed with their masks on.
Duff's post on Thursday (December 14) comes just two days after the actress-singer announced she is pregnant with her fourth child and third with Koma. The couple already have daughter Mae, 2, and daughter Banks, 4, while Duff and ex-husband Mike Comrie share 11-year-old Luca.
The How I met your father The alum broke the news by sharing her family's 2023 Christmas card, which read: 'So much for silent nights. I love the Duff, Bair, Comrie Crew.” (Coma's real last name is Bair.)
The front of the card shows Duff resting her hand on her baby, while the back features more adorable snaps of her kids plus the message, “Collect the Butterflies, we're adding one more to this crazy bunch!” She captioned the post, “Surprise Surprise!”
The expansion of Duff's family comes as no surprise after her interview in November Shape, in which she said parenting was “hard” but “endlessly rewarding.” He also noted that he is in the “phase of starting a family.” The star said at the time, “I've built this and I wanted this and so I have to be here to enjoy the happy and the painful and everything in between.”
