Mark Ambor scores his first career entry on the Billboard Hot 100 thanks to his breakthrough viral hit “Belong Together.”
The song, which was self-released on February 16 with Hundred Days Records and Virgin Music Group, debuts at No. 87 on the Hot 100 dated May 11 with 7 million official US streams (up 15% ) and Sold 1,000 downloads (up 14%) in the April 26-May 2 tracking week, according to Luminate.
“It's so surreal to see a song I made by myself in my basement resonate with the world the way it has,” says Ambor Advertising sign. “I've always seen the Billboard Hot 100 as this almost unattainable thing, and to see my song now on it is so rewarding and incredible. I'm really grateful for everyone who is here and supports the things I make. This is just the beginning.”
Before releasing the full song, Ambor had been teasing it for several weeks on TikTok, where two versions have gone viral. Its original sound has become a soundtrack 80,000 clipswhile an accelerated mixture has been used in the over 400,000 videos. Ambor himself boasts over 1 million followers on the platform. The teasing has already started a new song“Our way”, with me an album, but has yet to announce release dates for either. “Belong Together” became Ambor's first set Advertising sign chart entry in April when it debuted on the Billboard Global Excl. USA chart. It climbs to a high of No. 24 on the May 11 edition and jumps 55-37 for a new Billboard Global 200 best.
Ambor released his debut album with seven tracks, Hello Worldin 2022 and three singles in 2023, including the viral hit, “Good to Be” (150,000 clips on TikTok). He completed a string of European stops in April.
