What to bring to the Envision Festival
With Envision fast approaching, now is the time to get organized for the festival. If you've attended country festivals before, a few items on the list will serve as a gentle reminder. We've listed additional beach and jungle-specific items that you might not think of below:
- Passport: You will need it to travel and confirm your identity upon arrival.
- Ticket: will need to be scanned (digital format is fine, a paper copy as a backup)
- Credit card: you will load a CC on your bracelet to buy food, drinks, etc.
- Power Bank: You may want to charge your phone to take photos and videos
- Sunscreen: face and body (this is an expensive product to buy in the city)
- Insect repellent: the ideal is to opt for something natural, since there will be insects in the jungle.
- Comfortable Footwear – Sandals for the beach and covered shoes for the evening.
- Sunglasses: Not necessary, but you may want to reduce squinting.
- Hat: Again not necessary, but it will be useful to protect your head from the sun.
- Travel Towel: Microfiber towels are easy to pack and dry quickly.
- Beach Towel/Tapestry – This is something you can use to lay on the floor.
- Yoga mat – not necessary, but if you plan to attend some classes you will want to have your own
- Journal and pen – we recommend bringing this to reflect on your time at Envision
- Reusable water bottle: They have water refill stations throughout the festival grounds.
- Plate/bowl, Utensils – Envision food vendors do not distribute single-use products
- Electrolytes: they will help you recover from all that dancing and sweating.
- Face and body wipes – if you are staying on site these will come in handy
- Spray Bottle/Lord: It's nice to have this to cool you down.
- Essential oils: Add a few drops to your spray bottle or apply directly to your skin.
- Hairbrush/ties: You may want to put your hair up during class or to dance.
- Shampoo and conditioner: You may want to cleanse your hair at least once a week.
- Toothbrush and toothpaste: oral hygiene is crucial for your health and well-being
- Deodorant: we recommend using one that does not contain aluminum.
How to prepare for the Envision Festival
Once you've started packing your things, another crucial preparation is to make sure your flights are confirmed and that you have a way to get from the airport to the festival site.
If you want to make your life easier, you can book one-way or round-trip airport transfers with other festival-goers. You can also choose to rent a car, arrange private transportation or take local buses. If you drive directly there, it will take you approximately three hours. Please note that the other options listed will take longer.
Now that you have all your belongings in order and know how to get there, do you know where you will stay? Envision has on-site and off-site hosting options. If you still need to reserve something, time is of the essence. Browse here Learn more.
Envision Festival Self-Care Practices
Last, and certainly not least, let's discuss self-care practices. Please note that this is not just any weekend. In case you missed it, Envision is a week-long immersive jungle experience. That said, to make the most of your time it is essential to get enough rest, stay hydrated, and stretch your body.
Once all the logistics are worked out, we highly recommend reviewing the day-by-day schedules beforehand so you can get an idea of what each day will be like for you. By doing so, you can plan times to eat, rest, and maybe even take a nap. By staying off-site, there will be more time to devote to these basic human needs.
As mentioned above, be sure to bring a bottle of water as staying hydrated is of utmost importance. Dancing in the heat will require you to drink a lot more water than you are used to. And with all this dancing, you'll probably want to attend some yoga classes to get a good stretch and nourish your body, even if it's your first time.
At the moment, only music programming is available. But keep an eye on Envision's social media below for a schedule of workshops and classes coming out soon. With so much diversity, we hope you're open to experiencing new sounds, but we know there will also be some sets you can't miss.
