Imagine Dragons have a special treat in store for their fans in Los Angeles.
The group's Loom World tour is set to conclude its North American leg at the Hollywood Bowl on October 27 with a one-night-only performance with the LA Cinema Orchestra and special arrangements by legendary game composer Inon Zur.
Imagine Dragons will also partner with Bethesda Games Studio for a live debut of their track, “Children of the Sky (A Starfield Song). In addition, the track “will be broadcast back to Earth from the surface of the Moon as part of the mission Lonestar's Freedom flying Intuitive Machines to the South Lunar Pole in early 2025,” according to a release.
“Our goal is to inspire the next generation of kids to be excited about the future of space and technology, which is why we chose 'Children of the Sky' as the first song in history to be broadcast from the Moon,” said Ryan Micheletti . , an investor in Lonestar through The Veteran Fund, in a press statement.
Last month, the band's drummer, Daniel Platzman, announced that he was leaving Imagine Dragons to focus on his film composing career. “After an incredible journey spanning over a decade, I will be stepping down from the amazing band that is Imagine Dragons,” Platzman shared in a press statement. “I wanted to share my deepest gratitude to you, the fans, for your unwavering support and sharing in the joy of music with me. Connecting with all of you was truly the highlight of this chapter. I'm excited to be able to share more soon about the projects I've been working hard on over the past few months, centered around my biggest passion: filmmaking and composition. I promise you'll be the first to know. Stay tuned.”
As a trio, the group continues their North American tour through the fall and will wrap up the aforementioned four-date run at the Hollywood Bowl in October. The band is the third musical artist to perform four nights at the Hollywood Bowl in a single run.
