Irish rock duo Dea Matrona today announce the release of their highly anticipated debut album 'For Your Sins', due out on May 3rd. The first piece of their debut album comes in the form of their new single, 'Stuck on You', which is out now.
With a pounding bassline and a heavy instrumental beat, 'Stuck On You' conveys the band's bold, sensational rock spirit with a modern twist. Catapulting and captivating, the song talks about feeling hopelessly attracted to someone's charm.
Dea Matrona says that the single, 'Stuck on You' was written after multiple sleepless nights. After taking a break from touring we both locked ourselves away for a while and I think this song sums up how crazy it drove us. It was initially written as an instrumental and was the most difficult track on the album to produce. “It will be very exciting to take these songs on tour with us in May and see how people react in real life.”
Dea Matrona also says about the album: “It's a record about trying to find ourselves and failing again and again until we realized that part of the fun of being in Dea Matrona is that we'll never really know who we are or what we want to say.”

Dea Matrona has always been an exciting proposition. A duo that pushes genre boundaries in an authentic yet nostalgic way, their debut album 'For Your Sins' delivers a passion project like no other. It's an album that unites a heady mix of indie pop and rock with gorgeous sophisticated influences from Fleetwood Mac, HAIM, The White Stripes and Arctic Monkeys. From the loud, prowling 'So Damn Dangerous' to the whimsical pop stunner 'Every Night I Want You', the low-end strums of 'Black Rain' and the country swing of 'Won't Feel Like This Forever', it delivers a slice of everything. Easily a Dea Matrona classic for long-time fans, but the perfect introduction for newcomers, it is designed to draw everyone into Dea Matrona's infectious aura.
Dea Matrona is made up of two school friends, Mollie McGinn and Orlaith Forsythe, who grew up busking their favorite rock 'n' roll anthems on the streets of Belfast. Covering people like 'Whole Lotta Love' by Led Zeppelin and 'Coming Home' by Simon & Garfunkel, reached an online community of 250,000 followers and racked up over 8 million views on YouTube. With their hard-hitting riffs and musical intensity, they have established a rare and sensational sound, rough and real but loaded with melody and style, which has so far garnered support from the Clash, The New Cue, The Independent, MusicRadar and more.
The band are also today announcing a full UK and Ireland tour for May 2024 to celebrate the release of their album. Kicking off in Liverpool on release day, the band will deliver their electrifying live concert to audiences across the country before concluding the tour with dates in Cork, Galway, Dublin and Belfast in Ireland.
