Iron Maiden's former mobile game Legacy of the Beast is being discontinued.
After launching eight years ago, the game will no longer be downloadable or playable starting January 1, and in-app cash purchases have now been disabled. Players are encouraged to use their remaining in-game currency before December 31, when the game goes offline.
The news came via a press release on the game's official site. website. Developer Navigator Games thanked veteran players and revealed that it is still involved in a future project with Iron Maiden despite the conclusion of Legacy:
“As the band's The Future Past Tour 2023/24 concludes in Brazil this weekend, we remember the incredible achievements of these games, in particular having a tour inspired by them and named after them. Complete with multiple worlds on stage, the Iron Maiden Legacy of the Beast tour played to over 3 million fans, from 2018 to 2022, touring the globe, headlining some of the biggest festivals and stadiums, including Rock In Rio, Hellfest, Download & Wacken to name just a few. It was by far the most exciting and ambitious way to promote a video game ever, contributing to its incredible longevity and popularity with over 6 million players as the best Heavy Metal game of all time. As for the future, our team continues to work on new projects with Iron Maiden that we are excited to share with you in the future. However, first we must say goodbye to this chapter and, to do so, we want to celebrate the incredible legacy that we have all built together with you. So now it's time to dust off those travel bags one last time and end it with a bang and a momentous end-of-tour party!

As for Iron Maiden, the metal legends recently wrapped up a North American tour.
