The Bardi Gang will have to keep waiting Cardi B's second album. He confirmed that he won't be releasing it this year.
The Bronx, New York native is reportedly taking it easy for the rest of 2024. On Tuesday, May 14, she responded to a fan who brought up her transparency as a high-profile artist on X, formerly Twitter. In her post she wrote “Exactly and I keep telling myself..and I hate falling back and starting to interact again and it's biting me…anyway NO album this year I don't care I'm taking it easy this year.. Letting go of these traits I already have commit and travel and enjoy my summer.”
This came as a surprise to her core fanbase. Earlier this year it announced that it had several songs on the hard drive and stated that it was locked in album mode. While previewing “Like What (Freestyle)” he reiterated that the new LP was on the way. “January 27, 20-20-f***in'-3. I work on this sh*t at 5 in the morning — you know I'm an owl,” he revealed. “I promise you all this year: I don't let my anxiety go, I don't let what the haters say, I don't let what the fans say… If I make a song, it's going to drop.”
Before that Cardi B released her single “Enough (Miami)” and her second collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion “Bongos”. The untitled sophomore album is the follow-up to her critically acclaimed Breach of privacy.
