The piece, which closes his surprise fall It may be deleted later, sees Cole address Lamar's verse. “I got a call, they say somebody's in denial / You want some attention, it comes with extensions,” he raps. “She still put on a show but it went down like 'The Simpsons' / Your first shit was classic, your last shit was tragic / Your second shit was ns to sleep but they gassed it / Your third shit was huge and this was your top / I was right behind and I just hit mine.”
He later references Lamar's “The Heart” line, rapping, “He averages a 'Heart' verse like every 30 months or something / If he didn't say, then we ain't talkin'” / Blood don't make me gotta smoke this n—a why I'm fucking him / but until you come put that mic down, I'll humiliate him.”
“Like That” appeared on Future and Metro Boomin's album, We Don't Trust You, which dropped last month. On the track, Lamar jumps in to unmistakably take aim at Drake and J. Cole, declaring, “Yeah, get up with me, f*ck sneak dissing / 'First Person Shooter,' I hope they came with three switches / Motherfuck the big three, n—ah, he's just big.” While Lamar's diss was the most blatant, fans speculate that both Future and Metro also took shots at Drake on the album.
