Jacob Elordi slipped into several hilarious costumes during his inaugural run as Saturday night live host last weekend. But the Saltburn The star's best character work ended up on the cutting room floor, as evidenced by the publication of a cut sketch that parodied the MTV series hosted by Xzibit from 2004-2007 Pimp My Ride.
Playing sad janitor Sergei, Elordi goes about his business when the Please Don't Destroy viral video — John Higgins, Martin Herlihy, and Ben Marshall — takes pity on him after discovering the mopper has a “burnt-out” car that's too expensive for to be repaired and must take the bus to work. So, naturally, they meet Sergey at the bus stop and give him the worst possible surprise: a “fully customized junk car” with all the features he never wanted.
At first a tearful Sergei is overwhelmed by the kind gesture… until he sees the loathing the Destroy boys have cooked up for him. “What have you done?” asks a flustered Sergey as he casts his eyes on the pink and purple minivan with a trash can logo on the hood, toilet plunger and broom stickers on the doors, and a custom plate that reads “Sergei Da Trash King.”
But that is not all.
“Cleaning is just work,” Sergey tries in vain to explain, as the zero-experience customizers show off some of the other special features, including a Swiffer WetJet front bumper, the requisite LCD head-up displays, huge subwoofers, a front console. cooking borscht on the go and, worst of all, there is no more room for his large family since the back seats were ripped out to make room for custom mop bucket holders.
“For what purpose?” asks a frustrated Sergei.
The piece ended with a special message from Xzibit: “Whatever you do, don't drive that f-king car!” Spoiler alert: Sergey should have listened to Xzibit.
