Is not SNL sweet? I think so!
Sabrina Carpenter appears in a brand new Saturday night live promo alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Bowen Yang ahead of this weekend's (May 18) episode of the iconic sketch comedy series. In the clip, Yang excitedly tells Carpenter that he loves her new song, possibly because of her recent viral hit 'Espresso'. However, when the comedian starts singing a song about shorts, Carpenter steps in to say, “That's not my song, I don't think.”
However, when Gyllenhaal also starts singing the song for “Board Shorts Summer,” Carpenter soon agrees to the hit.
Elsewhere in the promo, Gyllenhaal asks Carpenter where her last name comes from. “It's coming out of the woodwork,” the 25-year-old singer reluctantly continued the pun.
Carpenter — who is fresh off scoring her first Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hit with “Espresso” — will bring her Eras tour and Coachella-proven performance skills to 30 Rock to serve as the musical guest for the upcoming episode . Gyllenhaal, meanwhile, is hosting for the third time.
Watch the promo below and watch Gyllenhaal's full episode Saturday night live this weekend (May 4) at 11:30pm ET on NBC, before it begins streaming on the Peacock.
