Guitarist and vocalist Brian King and drummer and vocalist David Prowse met as students in the mid-2000s at the University of Victoria in British Columbia. They moved to Vancouver and released their first album Japandroids, After-Nothingin 2009. Their second album, 2012's Holiday Rock, was released to critical acclaim, and King and Prowse toured extensively in support of the record. These took a break before you get back with me Close to the Wild Heart of Life.
