Jared Leto and Wheel of Fortune Host Pat Sajak pulled an April Fool's Day prank on the show's audience and contestants Monday night by making Leto the show's temporary host.
Instead of Sajak walking on set arm in arm with co-host and host Vanna White, it was Jared Leto, who proceeded to continue hosting the show as normal.” Alright everyone, grab those devices, it's time to save some money,” Leto said in host mode. “$1000 in our first drawing, the category is on the map.”

Eventually, Sajak resumed hosting duties, but neither Sajak nor Leto acknowledged the exchange. Jared Leto shared the televised clip of his entrance in instagram, writing “How did I do it?” as he and Vanna White took the stage. Watch the clip of Leto hosting the beloved game show below.
April Fools' Day joke or none, those who felt the impact of seeing Wheel of Fortune hosted by someone other than Pat Sajak will have to get used to it: Longtime game show host is leaving Wheel of Fortune at the end of this season and will be replaced by Ryan Seacrest.
Meanwhile, Jared Leto and his band Thirty Seconds to Mars are preparing for a European tour, followed by a lengthy North American tour in the summer with AFI, Poppy and KennyHoopla as opening acts. See Thirty Seconds to Mars tour dates here and get tickets here.
