Following on the heels of recent performances by Juvenile and Scarface, Atlanta trap pioneer Jeezy recently stopped by NPR for his own Tiny Desk Concert.
Backed by a full string section, Jeezy goes back to the beginning of his career with hits from his classic album, Let's Get It Done: Bully Motivation 101before closing with his 2011 track “Everythang,” which caps the veteran rapper’s journey from rags to riches.
Jeezy kicked off the six-song set with “Standing Ovation” before moving on to others. Bully Motivation 101 favorites like “Air Forces,” “Bottom of the Map,” “And Then What,” and “Go Crazy.” Before concluding her performance with “Everythang,” she delivered an encouraging message to the crowd.
“No matter what you're going through, just show up, believe in yourself and keep pushing yourself,” Jeezy said. “It's never easy, but it's great when you get to the other side of it.” He added: “Once you get to the top, bring beautiful people with you.” Watch Jeezy's full Tiny Desk concert below.
