Keith Urban will play his latest single and Sam Hunt will debut a brand new song
Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Keith Urban and more will take the stage at the 2024 CMT Music Awards, which will take place April 7 at the Moody Center in Austin and air live on CBS and Paramount+.
Wilson is set to perform her new single, “Country's Cool Again,” while Urban will perform a world premiere of “Straight Line,” a new single from his upcoming album, due later this year ( release date and title not yet announced). Other performers include Bailey Zimmerman, who will perform his current single; Religious. The album, “Where does it end?” and Sam Hunt, who will debut a new song, marking his first year since 2023's “Outskirts.”
CMT Awards host Kelsea Ballerini is also set to perform during the show, with additional performers (as well as hosts) to be announced in the coming weeks.
Wilson, Jelly Roll and Ballerini are among the artists with the most nominations this year, with three each, along with Megan Moroney and Cody Johnson. All five of these artists made the longlist for Video of the Year, with fan voting open until April 1 to whittle down the nominees to six. The top three finalists from the second round of voting will be announced the day before the CMT Music Awards.
Other notable CMT Awards nominees include Zach Bryan, who picked up his first two nominations, including a video of the year for “Nine Ball,” which starred Matthew McConaughey as a pool shark. Tyler Childers was also nominated for the first time, earning Video of the Year and Breakthrough Male Video of the Year nominations for his heartbreaking “In Your Love” clip.
