“We have a genius, ladies and gentlemen, he solved the Middle East,” Seinfeld said.
Jerry Seinfeld mocked a pro-Palestinian fan who interrupted his stand-up set in Sydney, Australia on Sunday.
The comedian's show was briefly interrupted when the fan shouted for the liberation of Palestine during Seinfeld's stand-up gig at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena, as News.com.au reports.
“We have a genius, ladies and gentlemen. He solved the Middle East. He worked it out,” Seinfeld joked. “It's the Jewish comedians, they're the ones we have to get. They are the ones who do everything.”
As the man continued to yell while being escorted by security, according to footage captured at the event, Seinfeld continued to grill the collar. “They're going to start beating you in three seconds, so I'd try to get all your genius out so we can all learn from you.” He added: “It's a comedy show, you moron. Go away.”
While the man shouted “Palestine will be free” as he was ejected, Seinfeld continued the roast. “You really affect everyone here. We're all on your side now because you've said it so well and in the right place,” Seinfeld said to cheers from the audience. “You've come to the right place for political discussion.”
“Tomorrow we will read in the paper: The Middle East is 100 percent solved thanks to the man at the Qudos Arena who stopped the Jewish comedian… You have to go 20,000 miles from the problem and fool a comedian. That's how you solve global issues,” Seinfeld said.
Last month, the comedian was also criticized by a pro-Palestinian supporter in a Virginia performance and his commencement speech at Duke University drew pro-Palestinian protesters. Seinfeld also recently made news for complaining about “the far left and PC crap” that kills comedy and stifles creativity. His position has won the admiration of far-right influencers.
