As the saying goes, “goosebumps don't lie.” If the dance music world hasn't yet felt the significant collaborative influence of John Summit and Hayla, it surely will now.
Almost a year ago, Summit and Hayla's “Where You Are” exploded into the collective consciousness of dance music faithful and remains a future classic in the making. An effort to follow up on the track, which was recently named one of EDM.comThe best songs of 2023, it was almost a foregone conclusion, but doubts remained about whether lightning could really strike twice.
Arriving just in time for Valentine's Day, “Shiver” once again captures the essential essence of human connection. Hayla's verses weave a narrative of two souls finding solace in each other, united by rhythm and lost in the moment. Her lyrics are poetic but accessible and speak of the universal desire to feel understood.
Like their dance anthems of yesteryear, Summit brings their distinctly infectious production to the table with rolling basslines intertwined with trance-style lead synths. If past is prologue, “Shiver” is an offering that's ready to take the festival circuit by storm in 2024.
The song marks Summit's first original single of 2024, a year in which the meteoric producer will most likely release his debut album. You can listen to the new single below and find it on streaming platforms. here.
