Julian Casablancas and his band The Voidz stopped by here Tonight's show starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday (Oct. 23) to perform “Square Wave” and “7 Horses,” two songs from their new album Like everyone before you. Watch the performances below.
Looking as Voidz-y as ever, Casablancas strutted around the stage in a leather vest and unique glove while bathing in Auto-Tune. His bandmates matched his energy as they wore capes, sported studded jackets, and sported Flying V guitars. The stage was adorned with barbed wire, barrels oozing green goo, and an oversized armadillo(?). Oh, peek into the mind of Casablancas…
Before The Voidz took the stage, Casablancas and Fallon sat down to talk about the time the latter's band opened for The Strokes, the backstory of Casablancas' involvement on Charli's “Mean Girls” remix XCX and writing Like everyone before you. Watch the interview below.
Like everyone before you marked The Voidz's first new album in six years. The physical release of the album arrives on November 1 (pre-orders are in progress). Neither The Voidz nor The Strokes have tour dates scheduled at this time.
