Justin Timberlake will not be performing his only concert tonight in London. The singer apologized to fans for the late cancellation in a series of Instagram stories, explaining that he was “struggling with a bug.”
“Hey everybody,” Timberlake said, his voice visibly affected. “This is an unfortunate video to send, but I'm sure you can tell from the sound of things that I won't be able to make it to Friday's show, which I'm bummed about.”
“I've been here in London all week and I've been so excited to perform the Roundhouse, but as you may or may not know, I've been battling some kind of bug,” the singer continued. “I thought I was getting better, but it just took a turn for the worse. We almost didn't make it to Graham Norton, but we made it through.”
He added: “This morning I woke up just feeling worse than ever. All I can say is that maybe next time we're in town, I can make it up to you and we can rock the Roundhouse one more time. But for now, I feel awful. I hope none of you get this flu. Thanks, love you guys and see you next time.”
Following the cancellation announcement, Timberlake shared some better news: European and UK tour dates in July, August and September as part of his Forget Tomorrow world tour. Recently announced dates include a stop at London's O2 on August 11. tickets go on sale at 10am. local time on Friday, March 1.
Timberlake to release his sixth studio album, Everything I thought it was, on March 15 via RCA. The LP will be his first since 2018 Man of the Woods. So far, the singer has shared two singles, “Selfish” and “Drown.” The Forget Tomorrow World tour will kick off on April 29th in Vancouver, Canada.
