Tranter, nominated for Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical at the 2024 Grammys for his work with Miley Cyrus, Reneé Rapp and Måneskin, instantly fell in love with “Swan Dive” and its poetic message of self-empowerment. Since then, he has continued to shape his taste and his songwriting process.
“I vividly remember hearing that song for the first time,” says the former Semi Precious Weapons singer. “I directed this AIDS charity variety show in 1997, and Ani's album Dilate “They gave it to me… they said, 'We think you'd love it,' and they were right.”
